Led Zeppelin – IV

The untitled fourth studio album by the rock band Led Zeppelin, commonly known as Led Zeppelin IV, was released in November 1971 by Atlantic Records and was produced by guitarist Jimmy Page.

My copy of this album still has the plastic on it and the gatefold has never been opened. When I first got this album I heard “Black Dog” and I was WOW this is definitely Zeppelin. I’m sure everyone knows the song “Stairway to Heaven” as it is classic now.

When I first listened to the entire album some of the quieter songs weren’t heavy enough for me at the time. However I love all the songs on this album.

You gotta have it in your collection …. even digital!

Eric Clapton – Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton is the debut solo album from rock musician Eric Clapton, released in August 1970.

When I first bought this album I was excited because it was Eric Clapton on his own. However at that time in my music life I only liked heavy loud music which this album is not. I’ve not listened to this one for quite a while and I must say it’s not bad at all.

The biggest hit on this album is “After Midnight” along with a couple of others.

Side One

1. “Slunky” 3:34

2. “Bad Boy” 3:34

3. “Lonesome and a Long Way from Home” 3:29

4. “After Midnight” 2:51

5. “Easy Now” 2:57

6. “Blues Power” 3:09

Side Two

1. “Bottle of Red Wine” 3:06

2. “Lovin’ You Lovin’ Me 3:19

3. “Told You For the Last Time” 2:30

4. “Don’t Know Why” 3:10

5. “Let It Rain”  5:02
